History
El Hospital San Juan de Dios es un hospital público ubicado en Los Andes, Chile. Tiene sus orígenes en 1863, cuando, debido a la epidemia de viruela que afectaba la zona, se hizo necesaria la creación de un recinto asistencial. El hospital funcionó con su diseño original hasta 1936, cuando el director, doctor Pedro Rosende, planteó la necesidad de contar con un establecimiento más moderno y acorde con la realidad tecnológica de la época. Este objetivo se cumplió en octubre de 1951 con la inauguración del nuevo Hospital San Juan de Dios, cuya infraestructura lo alberga hasta el día de hoy.
